Toid Hair Project
Aren't there just days you hate your hair and you say you are going to shave it all off? I believe there are. But that's not how my day started out. It was a good day on the 25th day of July. I merely wanted to give my head a little buzz like I had done so many times before. You see, I'm poor. In college, I discovered that a quick way to save money was to not pay to get my haircut and just do it myself. So for the most part, that's why my hair has been short for the last few years. I just didn't have the money to keep up with haircuts. Pathetic as that sounds, it's brutally true, and well, live with it! Well, actually, you don't have to, but I do, and I don't mind, so that justified why I did it. Ok, I'm rambling again and losing *myself* here, so let's carry along. Cause I'm sure you're lost.
Anyhow, so I go to cut my hair, and I'm doing just fine, but I'm getting mad at my hair. The feeling I got from cutting it shorter and shorter was making me cackle with pleasure! I quickly disgarded the #3 guard in favor of the #2, and then when I got bored with that, I went to the #1. OH how I loved it! So short! As I ran my fingers across my head I felt fuzz! Not only was I making a huge mess in the bathroom, but I was making a huge mess on my head. Of course you can't cut it normal, you have to have fun with it, like leave longer hair in circles on your melon while you do weird designs like you were cutting the fairway on a golf course. Dogleg Left over the top of my head I said! And it was done. Eventually I cut off all my hair and it looked like this picture here, which will be referred to as the "Starting Picture":

Well, I made it one month no sweat. Doing good. Haven't even thought about cutting my hair again. I'm axiously awaiting it to grow out some. As you can see, I've at least got some turf back on my head, so it's protecting me from the sun a little more. Still nothing major going on up there, I don't think my hair is growing fast at all...at least not like it used to. Oh well. Anyhow, I leave you with a picture after the first month...

Two Months! I'm actually starting to see some length now. It can be verified that my hair is at least growing. My hair is starting to get long along the sides of my head, but I'm not touching it for the sake of this project. If all goes well, I can make it the four months to when I go home to Bartlesville for Thanksgiving. That would be pretty cool. ok, enough rambling, all anybody ever wants to see anyway is the picture! So here it is....just ignore the weird look I have. But it's the only picture I could find on the 25th/26th...

Three months already? Where does the time go! As you can see, my hair is starting to grow out. I have had a lot of comments about my hair around my ears, which I'm constantly tucking back behind. Yes, I know a quick snip with scissors would take care of it, but it ruins the project! Here is the pic.

This picture was taken towards the middle of November, right before I went home for Thanksgiving. I don't know what to do with my hair so it's just stucking up.

Two weeks after my last picture, this picture was taken. Notice my hair is *slightly* shorter. Now, I have to be honest with everybody following the Toid.net hair project. My mom made me get a haircut when I went home for Thanksgiving so that we could take family pictures. I was a little upset at this, but managed to get away with only a trim. So that might be why I'm a little upset in this picture.

Ahhh, finally seeing progress. This picture was taken in February of 2003. I didn't have a January picture, but this picture pretty much shows a significant difference from the first pic of my bald head! Enjoy!

This page will be updated once a month...next update happening end of March.
