Toid's Roundup

Well, here I am again. Today's games lived up to the hype. It's amazing to watch. I woke up to watching the FSU-Miami game. Awesome. Instant classic. Then, even though coverage was cut short, both at the beginning and end of the game, the OU-Texas game was great to watch.
I have to admit something to everybody. I had a hard time justifying picking Oklahoma. It was a stretch for me to reason playstation 2 games equalled better Saturday performance. Somehow, it worked. Reading Trent Smith's Diary this week two days before the game, Hybl did in fact have a good week on the ps2. I talked to Tracy this weekend, and he mentioned he can't remember the last time he had seen a quarterback throw 4 interceptions and still win. Bob Stoops continues to show why Oklahoma can win big games. He shows he believes in his team, whether it be trick plays or going for it on fourth down. This is very important. You could tell Texas didn't want Simms to throw a lot of interceptions, so t hey kept calling running plays. They should have just let him do his thing. But how could he when they were going three and out every play? At halftime, I knew OU would have a good second half for two reasons. One, they had the momentum, and two, even though Texas was winning, Texas scores were on turnovers and not on offensive production. If you watched the defenses, even though OU wasn't doing much, they had more plays than Texas did, therefore, come the fourth quarter, it began to show. The Longhorn defense just couldn't hang any longer, cause they were tired. Meanwhile, OU's defense was still fresh. I think that is what the difference was. Oh yes, and let me just add to my website that Chrissy still has yet to win a big game, it's all his fault, he has 14 interceptions and 0 touchdowns, and I recommend him permanently changing his name to Chrissy, (it fits better don't you think), and retiring from football now. Not after his senior season. now.
Florida. I refuse to choose Florida again if they aren't playing a Pop-Warner team. I picked Florida over Miami, I picked Florida over Tennessee, and I picked Florida over LSU. I keep getting burned. No more Florida. Rex Grossman is all Florida has, and he isn't very much. His interceptions show this.
This was a good week for the analysts, as all records were excellent. Everybody missed the Bonus game submitted by Gugals. In fact, nobody even got ONE BP this week! The worst anybody did was 7-3. Excellent. Aaron took over first place in the tight competition. Can the preseason favorite of Gugals mount a comeback? Only the second half of the season will tell!
It will be interesting to see the polls this week. Will Iowa St. be a top ten team when they come to Norman?
