"Tell me a story Daddy! Tell me a story..."
Remember saying that as a little tike? Asking your mother or father to read you a bedtime story before you drift away to Never-Never Land? I do. Stories impact us like we would never believe but they inspire thoughts and emotions both consciously and subconsciously. So sit back, relax, curl up into your favorite blanky, and grab your binky as I take you on a story...
Once upon a time...a young Mattoid Prince pondered life, and what he was to do with it. He had many wonderful teachers along the way...including his parents. As Matt grew a little older, he began to go to the school which was in his Kingdom to learn the ways of the future. He occupied his time by playing sports such as soccer and ballet, both of which he actually enjoyed doing.
While the prince was growing up, he began to make friends. This is one of Prince Toid's most confusing parts of growing up. Every friend he made seemed to move away. It made him ponder if it was him that was making them leave or why they had to go. Then came the Internet.
People who would never communicate on a normal, everyday basis could meet by chance in a chat room, or discover each other online through profiles and forwards. Mattoid soon noticed that some of the best friends were those that you never visit. But these online friends had their downfall, they couldn't come play with Matt whenever he wanted to go out of his castle and frolic in the Kingdom.
The prince learned to drive and then became old enough to vote. Soon after that he graduated high school. What to do or where to go thought Prince Matt. He had heard about a place called The University of Oklahoma and wanted to go there himself to further his studies in the areas of the computer and Internet...both of which has brought him so much fun and wasted so much time in his young life.
With no King or Queen to tell him what to do, or wash the dishes, (this is hardly a job for a Prince, wouldn't you say?), he moved away to a foreign land and began college. With so many things to do, Mattoid was bashful and timid to go out and have fun and found the importance of caffeine through means of Coke and Coffee.
