10 minute Swim, 30 minute Bike, 20 minute Run

The swim, they put me in a lane with a really fast guy and I didn’t get into a rhythm as I had to keep letting him pass. Only swam 275m. First time I swam with a swim cap on too…it was pretty neat, but wish I had a whole lane to myself.

I owned the bike, won my heat with 17 miles covered in 30 minutes for average of 34mph. Could have gone faster but wanted to save myself for run.

Run, I was late getting the the transition and hit 6.0mph on the treadmill, but by the time I got my shoes on and it got up to speed, I only got 1.83 miles covered in 20 minutes. I had to stay by my bike while they took down our distances, and since I was #49, I was last in my 10 man heat to read my time, and by the time I ran down the stairs and up another set of stairs on the other side of the gym, the run had already started, and I had yet to get my running shoes on.

All in all I could have gone a little farther, as I didn’t know what to expect, but this gives me a better idea moving forward.
