Mini golf, cupcakes, baby Elliot and more…

It’s taking a long time to get things posted because I take *so* many pictures of my cutie butt Claire and I can’t leave any out. So I am working backwards here, and so these pics were taken at the end of Januray and beginning of February. We had a fun trip to Boondocks to play mini golf with my dad, Carrie, her son Aric, Jennifer, Matt, Claire and myself. I don’t know how much golfing I expected to do running after a toddler when it was her naptime but it was really fun! Matt and I usually play a pretty competitive game (come on- you know Matt!) but we had to put that aside and just try to enjoy the nice weather (it was a little windy) and keep Claire away from the balls. She did “help” a few times by putting the pretty colored balls in to the hole for us, and after about 5 holes I just stopped putting and chased after Claire. We followed up mini golf with a trip to Dairy Queen and Claire enjoyed a big melty vanilla cone. I forgot to bring my camera in for that, but luckily we got the same caliber pics when we decided to make chocolate cupcakes. I know that some parents freak out when their kids get all messy but I really enjoy letting Claire go to town on a chocolate frosted cupcake. First of all- I buy 90% of her clothes at the thrift store which means if there is a stain that doesn’t come out, it’s not that big of a deal. And second of all- if she gets messy, I just change her shirt and wipe her off and she is as good as new in about 2 minutes. The pictures are worth it. And she is sure worth it too!
