Claire and Nen
I am dedicating this post to Jennifer Ann Rickard, my sister and best friend and the best babysitter in the whole world. Claire says “Nen” numerous times everyday- whether she is actually present or not. When the phone rings or someone rings the door bell, Claire asks “Nen?”. On the phone at her play kitchen, I ask Claire who she is talking to… “Nen”. When I am talking to Jennifer on the phone Claire always says hi. She loves her auntie so much and I am so thankful that Jennifer sacrificed a lot to watch Claire so that Matt and I could go out of town. Not only for that one occasion, but she really helps us out a lot and I can never repay her. Unless Jennifer some day has 10 kids and I can maybe watch them for her romantic date nights and no-kid vacations!

Hi Colleen, Loved your recent photos… Claire is so super sweet! Also fun to see Jennifer too. Our little guy Zac isn’t saying a whole lot yet, but he’s learning, and it’s coming (I can feel it!). Blessings!
OMG – thanks for the dedication, I can’t believe that I am just now reading it. You know Claire and I had a great time hanging out together, but oh boy it’s a lot of work having a kid! I’ve definitely put in some hard core time as the “back-up” the last couple years, and I’m not so sure that I’ll be having my 10 kids anytime soon. BTW once I get around to having some lil ones, Claire will totally be old enough to babysit, so don’t worry guys.
