Finally!!

Ok, so my IT guy finally showed up. We’re not at 100% yet, but I hardly complain since I get a discounted hourly rate. ;)

Claire is a crawling maniac! She follows me around now, almost like a puppy dog. I walk out of the room for once sec, and I turn around and she has crawled through the living room, around the corner, down the hall and found me in the bedroom. I am so amazed by her speed lately. Who knew she could move so fast? She loves to play with all things, which consist mostly of non-baby toys: remotes, cameras, phones, brooms, books (not the kid kind), cords, candles (not the lit kind) and dog toys (yuck!)

She is really enjoying her swim lessons now, and she looks smoking in the lil bikini I bought her. Daddy takes her swimming, and has also started giving her baths at night. They love to play together, and it usually gives me a chance to finish up the dishes and then we all play together before she has to go to bed. Claire is sleeping close to 12 hours now, no waking up! Woo hoo. This is especially good news now that I have started my morning work outs, and Matt has been starting business a little earlier so he can get home at a decent hour. We are also enjoying Family Nights on Wednesdays: no guests, no fancy dinners just something easy to eat and clean up and then we play and hang out!

Since it’s been a while- I guess I should say we had a good Christmas and New Years. Claire officially started crawling on Christmas Eve. And on December 22 we had her Baby Dedication at church. She looked all pretty in her big fluffy dress, and we went out to dinner with the whole fam and a few friends afterwards to celebrate. The church even gave her a little pink bible!

Grandpa John was out of town at Christmas but we got to visit a few days afterward. Claire showed off her crawling skills and is most interested in Grandpa’s mustache and glasses.

Other than that- she is our beautiful little girl and we are having so much fun with her. I promise to update more often now that I have my semi-functioning pc back. Also, this is just the first round of pics, there are more, but I am pacing myself! Enjoy!

(Note: The pics are from early-mid December, and include visits from Aunt Jamie and Aunt Miriam. While Jamie was here we all went to Copper to ski and Jeff came too.)

I know I said I would have more pics, but my (Colleen’s) computer is… BR-OK-EN. I am patiently waiting for my IT Specialist to make his way over to my office (10 feet away) and make some repairs. All of the new pics of Claire are already loaded on that computer so you will have to wait. I can tell you that she is getting to be a real handful. She is crawling like crazy, moving everywhere. You put her down on the floor in the kitchen next thing you know she is in the pantry looking for a snack! In the bath, she will swim and splash for a while then she just crawls over to the edge because she wants to be standing. In the living room she has a huge toy box, but usually she is more interested with what is on the coffee table, so she pulls herself up and is always reaching for the camera, remote or cordless phone. Sheesh. And I also think she may have thrown her first temper tantrum this morning- I wouldn’t let her stand up in the bath and she threw a fit! I think this is what my mom said about… “Someday you’ll see what YOU were like”…

She also went for her first swim class last weekend with Daddy. She has herself a cute little purple bikini and some swim diapers (thanks to Aunt Jenn) and she is set for swim school. She splashed, jumped in (Daddy helped), got dunked, and kicked her legs. She also loved watching all of the other little kids in her class, even though the (16 year old) instructor didn’t really do much to organize any activities. It sure was fun for me to watch them.

Well, we are off to a lunch date. Hopefully pictures will come soon!

Well, Claire and Toid have been keeping me busy so I haven’t updated in a while… obviously! Here’s a little teaser for the cuteness to come. I have finally loaded new pics on my computer, and will hopefully write a post by this weekend. Enjoy!!
