15 weeks old… oh my!
Claire is the joy of our lives. She lights up the room with her giggles and grunts. She amazes us with her rolling over, and blowing bubbles. She is teaching us many new things everyday. One minute we think we have her on a schedule, next thing you know she is switching it up again. She is still sleeping through the night, but sometimes she doesn’t nap the WHOLE day. Not a big deal? Um no… she just gets a little slap happy about 7 pm. She is doing great with every new thing we challenge her with. She has started lifting her hips up and using her toes to push and scoot across the floor on her tummy. We put her in the church nursery for the first time Sunday, and she did great- apparently she just talked and cooed at all the nursery workers. She still loves going in her snuggli for walks around the park but now we have to put hats on to keep her warm in the evening. She doesn’t fit in her swaddling blanket anymore- so she sleeps without it. But now she rolls to her tummy almost immediately when we put her in her crib which makes me a little nervous but that’s how she sleeps most comfortable! She went with Matt to Daddy BootCamp last Saturday, as a “veteran” and the rookie (expecting) dads took turns changing diapers, holding the babies and getting advice from the other dads like Matt. Claire also razzle dazzled the other veteran dads by rolling over and being a good baby. She also took her first solo bath in the big bath tub. She likes watching the water fill up the tub, and watching the bright colored ducks float around. I help her practice her back floats and show her how to blow bubbles. She is getting so big and turning in to a beautiful little girl. Now if only we could find a Halloween costume for her?!
