Claire is the joy of our lives. She lights up the room with her giggles and grunts. She amazes us with her rolling over, and blowing bubbles. She is teaching us many new things everyday. One minute we think we have her on a schedule, next thing you know she is switching it up again. She is still sleeping through the night, but sometimes she doesn’t nap the WHOLE day. Not a big deal? Um no… she just gets a little slap happy about 7 pm. She is doing great with every new thing we challenge her with. She has started lifting her hips up and using her toes to push and scoot across the floor on her tummy. We put her in the church nursery for the first time Sunday, and she did great- apparently she just talked and cooed at all the nursery workers. She still loves going in her snuggli for walks around the park but now we have to put hats on to keep her warm in the evening. She doesn’t fit in her swaddling blanket anymore- so she sleeps without it. But now she rolls to her tummy almost immediately when we put her in her crib which makes me a little nervous but that’s how she sleeps most comfortable! She went with Matt to Daddy BootCamp last Saturday, as a “veteran” and the rookie (expecting) dads took turns changing diapers, holding the babies and getting advice from the other dads like Matt. Claire also razzle dazzled the other veteran dads by rolling over and being a good baby. She also took her first solo bath in the big bath tub. She likes watching the water fill up the tub, and watching the bright colored ducks float around. I help her practice her back floats and show her how to blow bubbles. She is getting so big and turning in to a beautiful little girl. Now if only we could find a Halloween costume for her?!

Sometimes Claire has the funniest expressions on her face. Here she is playing in her Bumbo. She likes this especially if I am throwing Sooner’s toy for her so she can have a good view and watch the action.Daddy and Claire sometimes read stories before bed. This book is called That’s Not My Puppy and it’s a touch and feel book. She seems to like it!Petting puppy’s ears.Eating her giraffe toy- she slobbers on everything now!Sitting in her bumbo, Claire discovered her toes one day. She tried so hard to figure out how to get them in her mouth. It’s easy to only show you the nice cute pics of Claire. But here’s a real pic of her. She is so mad because she wants to get those toes in her mouth and they just won’t reach from this angle. AAAHHHH!Just being serious! With Aunt Jenn after the Washburn game (which they won!) Claire’s new thing is she does NOT like to held like a baby. She wants to be upright and see everything.Talking and cheering for Uncle Jeff. All 4 Washburn girl’s cheering for #65 after the game. After the game, Jeff invited us to a bbq for his Physics club. Claire is getting real good at bringing her hands to her face and sucking on her fingers.Claire and Jeff are real buds, they always cuddle at night. Compare the size of Jeff’s fingers to lil Claire’s hands.Ok, this may look like a lil baby cage, but this is the crib that the hotel gives us for Claire. She doesn’t seem to mind at all.We have been trying out hats for Claire, now that it is getting colder at night. Some that were big 3 months ago are already too small! Here is Claire happy…Usually I only post the nicely posed, cutie pics of Claire. You must know, for every 1 good pic I post I have about 8 where she is moving or squirming. This would be one of those.Talking to Mommy…We thought we would try on the boots again thinking that maybe Claire could be a cowgirl for Halloween. We are still undecided.Another hat for our adventures around the park after dinner one night. After she watched the OU game Saturday (notice cheerleading uniform???) Claire passed out with her paci half out of her mouth.Watching the bath water fill up the tub!Doing the back float. She just needs to relax so her legs will go down in the water.Playing with the duckies.Just drying off after the long swim in the bathtub.
